Resizing photos - question
Can anyone recommend a program or a method for reducing the size of jpegs for emailing or posting on Pelican. At present, I send them as attachments in Outlook which does a nice job but is very labor intensive. I would like to be able to do many at one time. Any advice would be appreciated.

I asked the same question here years ago and was referred to "Infranview"; search it on google and download for free.
I process hundreds of photos per home and it works in seconds, very efficient program. I think it was Mazz that referred it to me? |
Irfanview is a little difficult to use, but does the job and has batch processing.
Can also use the mouse wheel to flip through pics. |
Irfanview sort-of confused me, too.. I use Gimp.
free download here: GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program to size a photo, open it in gimp, then click on the image dropdown tab , and select scale image, change the size, then save. works all good. |
For windows this is the best thing - its just a matter of right clicking and hitting resize. You can resize 100 pics in seconds. While you are there - check out how to rename them too.
