Tejas has been pretty spicey as well - we were just commenting about that this morning. The sun here actually hurts. I had SPF 50 on and still got burned. New bottle to. Been hearing that alot - seems like the sun is either putting out mega UV or the sun block is shyt...

79 deg. w/ a breeze here every day for the last 2 weeks. It's almost weird, so little change. But of course CA. is not as nice a place to live.

Not even 79 here. The cool overcast mornings and clear sunny afternoons this time of year are my absolute favorite.

I'm not looking forward to Aug and Sept in any way. But, I wouldn't want to be in the South either. BTDT.

I baked in an outdoor tent event in Fort Wayne - Thu, Fri & Sat. Some fans but no AC. High 80s, high humidity, cruel sun when you were in it. I saw some lobster people.

92 degrees at 8:30 over here in Philly. It is going to be a violent night downtown.

It's a cool 104* here in LV.....of course that is a dry heat..just like in a convection oven....

I dunno the heat doesn't seem to be affecting me much this year...after 7 in the desert I guess I have become a desert rat.....

And Lubby what do ya expect to happen to a Irishman from MA...that fair skin burns like Chili on a fire....

It's been 90+ here in GA for the last week . . . which is why I've taken up swimming in the lake (Lake Allatoona now, used to be one in TN) again, something I haven't done for over a decade. Although now I'm only doing 2 mile out 'n backs where it used to be 5 . . .

After a nice long swim even an open-air drive in 90+ weather feels cool.

Today, topped out at around 95 or maybe a bit more at my house. Right now at 10:40pm, it's still 85° with a heat index of 92°. It's been in the mid 90s for about 5 weeks now. Fortunately, (I guess) we've not had much rain, so it's a bit drier than usual, but I'm sure it's still more humid than CA, NM, AZ or NV.

Dude, a month from now it'll be 78 there every day. In two months it'll be 82 every day.
Then in the winter (around January) it'll get into the 60's, and several days a year it'll get into the 50's. And the rainy season is the worst week of the year.
Don't like the weather in Hermosa? Wait a season, it'll change. Slightly

BTW, in winter time you'll get morning fog once in a while. Serious fog. 5 mph fog.
I lived in Manhattan beach for a while and there were times early in the morning I was tempted to get out and walk instead of drive.

Definitely loving the weather here.

I've never gone this long in my entire life without seeing rain.

Worth every cent. Plus the fact that I probably pay less rent than you do.

I doubt it... I have a 1 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and bath... Washer and dryer, off street parking, 1 block from campus, etc.... I pay 375 a month and landlord.... pays the water/sewer/garbage bill at ~50....

So... What can you rent out there for 325 a month?

Your rent is cheaper than mine but I was with a 75 y.o. yesterday who pays less than you for a really nice back house/bungalow in West Hollywood. He's been there 30 years and WeHo has some weird rent control that is tied to (amount you paid) when you moved in.

My rent is less than what people have posted here who live in bumfuk Kansas or equivalent. I have a buddy who pays $1200 a month for a Santa Monica apt. worth ~$5k on the open market. I'm guessing that your rent is fair market value where for where you live in 2010.
