Bizarre PETA vs NASA billboard in Houston
Driving home from work today (well, riding shotgun actually), I shot this picture of a billboard that PETA has up on 45 S, southbound just before 610.
Apparently NASA has plans to shoot some monkeys into space to study the effects of the radiation on the monkeys, and PETA is grumpy about it. The thing is that unless you know what NASA is doing, the billboard seems really odd. The only reason that I know is that I looked the billboard up online hoping to find a better picture and found the story. The camera in my phone sucks, so in case you can't read it, there's a "bloody" NASA logo that says "Nasty". Then the sign reads "NASA: Take a giant leap for Mankind. Stop torturing monkeys."

do any of you realize that at hollomon a.f.b. they have the LARGEST PRIMATE TESTING FACILITY in da WORLD!
name the test. ebola/aids/sarin gas/radiation/french food/ name the nuklar/bio/chem on the planet , they test it on monkees(minkees). and when they are really bored...........they place them "on the rails" and do mock up runs with ejection seats,mach 10 runs,survivability kind of giggles. the facility has 24 hr guards with m-9's/m-16's with grenade launchers the whole enchilada. makes a "supermax" federal prison look like kindergarten due to number of 15 foot high electrified barbed wire and concertina fences. |

Too freak'n bad! As far as I'm concerned you can shoot all apes, chimps, monkeys and any other primate save humans into space. Not a fan of those smelly bassentards! Don't trust'm, don't like'm. Humans are the primary primate on this wet rock, all other sub-forms should be eat'n - young ones first!

Probably not Bruce, they don't use equine or porcine insulin anymore, it is all about using recombinant DNA to hijack the metabolism of a bacteria to make little insulin factories.
Still a lot of animal research in endocrinology.

i remember a bunch of hot PETA chicks on the stern show. howard talked them all into getting naked by holding a lobster over a pot of boiling water.. one was smoking HOT! i would have brought butter and a bib.
remember that mathew broderick movie about the monkeys? haahha...it was sad when that one got radiated and died. it's all how you spin the story. PETA should volunteer a rep to take that ride to space.
