I have been wearing mine for three months. My ass is now so tight my wife can bounce a quarter off it.

Yea I can'y imagine they would do anything more than clutter the closet and lighten my wallet.

Joe Montana should walk himself right out of the Hall of Fame for doing that shape ups commercial.

yea, probably but I didn't buy them for toning muscles or "capris"LOL, I bought them to keep my feet from hurting( I stand a lot on concrete)if they do that, even a little i'm for it, if my man card suffers, so be it, I'll drink German beer tonight and smoke a good cigar , all will be put back in order>> Joe Montana is a "real" man doesn't need the money and doesn't care what people think( I did hate him when he played against Dallas.( man could he throw a ball)

Those shoes remind me of that kid in the elementary school class with the one normal shoe and the other shoe had the sole that was doubled down.

I was a Premature baby, have always had trouble with my feet and had to wear UGLY shoes with tape wrapped around my feet so I get what your talkin about

looneybin 07-01-2010 12:30 PM

i just heard on the news that people are getting broken ankles from those shoes

vash 07-01-2010 12:57 PM

they look like those shoes with imbedded wheels..the ones you see kids gliding around with.

they dont look that bad. i never tried a pair. they are kinda pricey.

Those are like the Masai Barefoot Technology ones. Rocker bottom, sort of thick in the middle, so it is high. Going in a straight line would be okay, but no lateral stability.

My guess on the gender thing, women liking them more than men, would be that a tight achilles tendon would be less of a problem, women wear high heels more, hence tend to have the tight Achilles.

Enzo, it is not normal for your feet to hurt, even if you had problems as a juvenile. You have a PM

I've never seen the Skechers commercial, but as far as I can tell the Reebok is a much better shoe.

Are 'toning shoes' a gimmick?
