Porsche rental in Las Vegas?
My girlfriend and I will be in Vegas for 3 days at the beginning of October to see my favorite band play a one off reunion show as part of Matador Records' 21st anniversary festival.
I was hoping to rent a late model p-car for a day while we are out there and was wondering if anyone on the board has done this, and what their experience was. Thanks.

I rented a C2 droptop about 8-9 years ago. I had a windfall and ending up spending a day with the car for a change of pace from the casinos. I rented from Rent a Vette which was near McCrarren airport heading into town. That location is gone now, but I am sure they just moved storefronts and/or changed the name. At the time, you needed a valid driver's lic., and a major credit card. The 911 was 500 something for a 24-hr period with a 100 mile limit. Anything over 100 miles was charged per mile. They picked you up at your hotel or would reimburse you for you cab fare if you took a cab to their place. The rental co. insurance did not cover damage to tires, wheels, or glass.
It was fun, my cousin and I took a triple-digit blast out towards Lake Meade with the top down. I cruised arounf the strip with it, did some parking lot drifts/burnouts. It was fun, and no more expensive than a day in the casino,a nda ll the valets treated me well. I returned it with 101 miles on it. I would do it again if I enjoyed another windfall, but would probably give a Ferrari a try.

Eric that sounds like it was a blast.
Yeah, it would be great to just get away from the glitz for the day and blast around. I found a few places with boxsters in the mid 200s per day. That's fine. Hell, my local Enterprise gets you for $100+ for a 24 hr pickup truck rental!

There is a place on the Strip that rents exotics. Can't recall the name or exact location, but it's sort of in the heart of it all, on the east side of the road, not too far north of MGM.
