Today we find out the sex of the baby!
I'm going to be a GRANDFATHER and we will find out the sex after my son and DIL see the doctor and have the sonogram. Pretty damn exciting, more exciting to me than when our son was born almost 40 years ago. Don't care about names or whatever just want it healthy and happy. Although I would like a boy to carry on the family name.
Maybe I could get them to name him PARF! Sounds very European. ![]() |

Congrats to you and your family.
Do you really want a "Your A Peon" name for the kid. Pic's when the arrival happens. |

I think there should be some mysteries left. My wife had many ultrasounds done while carrying the little guy and we chose not to know the sex.
It is pretty cool to not know until the little wiggler makes his/her grand entrance. It also makes people be a lot more creative when buying gifts for the baby before it is born. Congrats all the same!

Congrats to you and the rest of your family.
When we found out that our 3rd cjild was a boy, my daughter who was 4 went running upstairs crying. She wanted a sister NOT another brother. Was one of the funniest fits she ever threw.

I realize there are many opinions on this question but it was our son and DIL's call. We're just happy for them and whatever they decide is OK by us. As I said as long as it's healthy, that's the most important thing. Just excited to be looking forward to grand-fatherhood!
We have some good friends who's in-laws are having a big, and I mean big brouhaha over the baby name, who's grandfather it should be named after. It's been a real bummer for our friends and the kid was born over a year ago. I think the mother-in-law was cursing the other grandmother at the christening. Just completely immature behavior. Forty years ago I don't think they could determine the sex and I don't think I would have wanted to know either but times change, it's not our call. One thing I'm confident of, I think they will be great parents. |

Congratulations gramps.
My wife and I didn't want to know the sex of our twins, but with all the ultra sounds Ray Charles could have told you they were boys. ![]()
