Ferrari Lawsuit in Cincinnati

Interesting read. Didn't we hear about this a while back or was that another car?

I hate those complicated stories. It's like the Pesto deal, too hard to follow.

Another one is that last original Cobra coupe dispute. The one that was never found until recently and now everyone owns the same car. Or claims to. Or wants to.

It did remind me of the Cobra Coupe. Wouldn't that be something fun to drive. Can you imagine?

Been done before many times with many cars. But, you know that. I watched an RS61 built up from nothing but the frame.

Where's the stink here?

Best of show or When is a car not a car?

A few years ago our local Corvair club decided that cars that were entered into a concours should only be judged on the quality of the parts and work that had been done without penalty for parts missing or incomplete restorations. One sage soul read the rules carefully and entered a perfectly restored i.d. plate (the one with the serial number, etc. ). Of course since there was nothing else there that could be judged less than perfect, he received the maximum points as the rules stated (indirectly) that "the i.d. plate was the car". Anyway, he got his best of show trophy and a door prize (a driver side door that would fit his non existant car). Everyone got a good laugh and the rules committee immediately re-wrote the concours rules. Gotta love car guys!!!

Maybe you were thinking of the pre-WWII Mercedes being held in storage at the Packard Museum in Dayton.

Would that happen to have been Billy Bruce or Chuck Armer? Sounds like something those rascals would do......(and don't get me started talking about "Recycled/rebadged Yenkos".....

I came home from the Pomona swap meet one time and was all excited as I showed my new purchase to the wife, an original 73 RS steering wheel.

She asked me what it was for, I told her it was for the 73 RS I was restoring. She asked "which RS?"
I held up the streering wheel right in front of her and said, "this one, duh!"
