My D. Sutherland story. Car dealer in La Canada tried to sell me Sutherland's ex-Lotus Elan Coupe eons ago (~$5500). Nice car - fast. Instead, I bought a 911 from the guy who owned Don the Beachcomber restaurant. Suffice to say, glad I did.

And I met Michele Phiffer's father at the Pomona swap meet. He was trying to sell her MB. I would have loved to have given her a test ride. :p

I was an extra on a throwaway Charlton Heston movie, "The Hawaiians".

How's that for throwing some names around?

I met Scott Pruett at a local Target store a few months ago - does that count? :)

In Vegas I came around a corner and almost ran Julia Roberts over.

Carl Lewis in the Houston Airport. He was taller than I thought he'd be.

My favorite is I also almost killed (a little dramatic) the soon to be commissioner of baseball...Bud Selig. I was with my wife in the 930 and he flat out ran a stop sign by the capital in Madison. My tires were screeching and he also hits the brakes. I stopped maybe 2 feet from his drivers door. He looked over and sheepishly nodded. My wife and I looked at each other and said "that was Bud Selig".

I had a nice conversation with Carroll O'Connor at LAX around 1980 - I was 16! He was quite the gentleman!

Glad you caught that. For a moment there, I wasn't sure. And I know Denis.
