The formation always brings a lump to my throat...add the SSB and I turn pussy in less than a minute.

I love this country.

Every NASCAR race I've been to has had a flyover.

I've seen a B2, a B52, F15s....(I can't remember them all).

They always time the flyovers to coincide with the very end of the Nation Anthem. It puts the crowd in a very positive, patriotic mood (not to mention very excited about the race).

Of them all, the B52 is the most impressive from a pure noise/feeling perspective.

I went to the very first baseball game at what was Pacbell Park in SF in 2000. Three fighter jets didn't just make a pass, they went straight up vertical right over the field and gunned it. You could see right into the engines and the sound shook your ribs. I'll never forget it.

At this year's Indy 500, the jets went over so slow and quiet, Danika was sleeping and did'nt wake up. I wish this race had some flyers who had the balls to buck the system, it might really get the fans excited.
