Potential HBO Mini-Series, Movie or just a Book?
 

Been thinking about a story for several months now - based on a diverse group of people who develop relationships as well as reconnecting with old flames or friends/relatives via Facebook, MySpace and various on-line forums (sound familiar?). Imagine all the intricate relationships and problems that can come about through increased connectivity and communication.

I would share some of the character profiles as well as situations that occur but it it is still in a very rough state. Needless to say there is pretty much every aspect of the human condition that makes for a cheap storyline - sex, love, addiction, greed, friendship, violence, theft, generosity, heartache, joy and death. Not to mention a few other things to add complexity to it all.

I think it would be better as a mini-series because it would make one long ass movie! The book has the potential to be 1200 pages if not longed but at first blush it may just be one of those you don't wanna put down.

What do ya think so far? I know I haven't provided any real details but just consider the general concept...

do these "relationships" involve breast milk?

that as well as anal sex, crotch slapping and all sorts of depravity that can only be viewed by those 18 and up!

She will be a love interest for an aging, ugly, overweight lubricant salesman with a crooked smile and a flare for the unexpected!

I'm sure someone has already pitched it, but it could be entertaining if done right. Keep in mind that they're not interested in good television so much as canned BS with low-brow humor created for brainless peons. Of course, I could just be bitter due to all the rejection I've experienced down that road.

A great internet tie-in would be having actual accounts for the characters so that people keep track of activities that occur off-camera.
