Has anyone ever recieved a DUI for driving with weed as your co-pilot??
Dueller's thread about prescription drugs and dui reminded me of a conversation I had with my stoner buddy the other day. I know in my state, driving under the influence of marijuana will net you a dui, but I have yet to hear of anyone being convicted yet. How would they prove that you are under the influence at the time of arrest if you are a regular smoker??. My boy Todd, puffs several times a day, so it surely would be in his system at any given time, but the affects only last for what , an hour of so after smoking.
Has anyone seen or heard of a case where anyone has been convicted yet??

Happens quite frequently around here...have seen only one case where the LEO requested a blod test. Primarily based on officers observation re: driving, sppech, dialated puples. nystygmas gaze test. Oh yeah...the big ol' blunt burning in the ashtray is a hint as well,

There is an officers opinion-which may be inflenced by driver fatigue, dust, natural personality, etc... and then there is the Voight-Kampff test.

My home state changed the law years ago from DUI - driving under the influence of alcohol,
to DWI - driving while impaired. This was because the DWI covered both drugs and alcohol. Sorry I can't answer the OP's question.
