I'm selling a couple of vintage bicycles...
I know there are a few bicycle aficionados on the forum, so I thought I would post the sale of these bikes here, as well as on the cycling forums I frequent.
I need to cull down my collection, so here are two of the more worthy rides I have: Both are in near-mint condition. The Schwinn has a couple of paint chips on the left-side of the down tube (I can send photos of that) and one notch in the saddle, which I've included in the attached photos. The LeMond is perfect. Schwinn Ti Paramount: 53 cm. Hand-built by Serotta, circa 2000 9-speed Dura Ace, except for Ultegra pedals and R700 compact cranks (Ultegra standard cranks available if desired). Mavic Helium wheels Brooks Ti saddle Litespeed Ti seat post Serotta Ti stem with 3T 42-cm alloy handlebars. Weight: 17.5 lbs *** all day comfort with this bike: I've completed a 125-mile double-metric with it, and felt no pain whatsoever afterward. Billato-built LeMond - not a Trek/Taiwan build 52 cm Hand-built in Italy from Columbus TSX steel, which is one step above SLX. One of an extremely limited number imported into the U.S. - Billato is the renown builder of top race bikes in the '80s and '90s, including Sean Kelly's PDM team bikes. This bike is a replica of LeMond's Team Z race bike. Circa 1994 10-speed Dura Ace 7800 throughout except for 53/39 Rival cranks, cassette and Ultegra pedals. SRAM BlackBox GXP Ceramic Bottom Bracket Mike Garcia hand-built wheels using bladed spokes, DT-Swiss rims and Speedcific front hub and DT Swiss 240 rear hub. Mavic R3 brakes NEW Brooks Ti saddle Litespeed Ti seat post Ibis Ti quill stem with Salsa 42 cm handlebars 18.0 lbs overall weight. This is a very fast, smooth-riding bicycle. Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Greg LeMond. I'm asking $1,600 for the Schwinn and $1,400 for the LeMond. These are both extremely well-built and capable machines. I am parting with them simply because I've found I no longer have the capacity to keep them, as I am really trying to cull myself down to just one bike. If there are any questions, please PM me. Thanks! The Schwinn The LeMond:
