Foot cramps--WTF?!!!

Ok, do you any of you others get cramps in the arch of your foot/feet?

Recently, they have come one more often. Mostly when driving but it has happened while sitting in a chair.

Today, I was doing some double kickdrum excercises while on cruise, using both feet.

All of a sudden, my left foot cramped up. I began stretching it by moving it around in circles and it went away. As soon as I put it back on the dead pedal it cramped again.

I have had it cramp up when waiting at a light when pushing in the clutch pedal.

Any ideas or am I just getting old?

BTW-this is not the foot that was broken a couple of years ago.

You just described my left foot. Ditto the driving part too. I would love to hear some answers.

Agreed. But when I'm driving it is hard to do.

I have to admit, that the worst & most frequent occur when I get into the 911 to drive. My wife claims that it is the car but it has happened at infrequent other times & places.

So I just have to carry a jar of pickle juice in the 911. Great. I'll replace the fire extinguisher.

I have found that gatorade daily prevents the leg and foot cramps that I used to get. Something to do with electrolyte balance I think.

Best,
Tom

I was going to suggest ditching the heels.

Cramps here too.
Sometimes just laying in bed i'll get them.
Getting old sucks.
Went for an ambulance ride Monday. Started to feel like an acid reflux thing going on so i chewed a couple of Mallox tabs but before long i started sweating and was in some serious pain
rolling around on the floor. this went on for about 1/2 an hour. Wife say's lets go to the hospital
i said i can't do it so she called 911. when they got here i was soaking wet from sweat still in a lot pain. Long story short the doc at the hospital said i had gastroesophageal reflux disease
(gerd) the odd part is i hardly ever have heartburn or acid reflux. They gave me some Protonix
to take and sent me home. Like i said getting old sucks.

I've been going bananas for a while and it stopped my foot cramps that I used to get in the arch of my feet. One banana ever few days did the trick.

Thinking about it...could be something here. I'd get cramps driving the 911...floor mounted pedals. With the "hanging" pedals of the Mustang, no cramps yet.

Just sayin'...
