Three 26 "T"s
I see one of these every Saturday at the local car show but was over at his house this afternoon to get pictures of the three. The truck will soon have a new Ford in it.

How much for the one with the flathead?
Cue Scarlett O'Hara... Someday... I will have one! |
Wow, there's not much to those front chassis rails. A little bit scary. The engine/trans mounts must be holding a lot of that together.

That might have been pictures of my 26 posted a while back. and here's a pic of my friend's 27 roadster

John,
My friend just bought the truck from someone in the midwest as a complete truck, two speed rear end and all at the time you posted the pictures of your truck. He still has a couple stock fenders and the rear end to get rid of. He has come along way in the last couple months. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1280016924.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1280016948.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1280016973.jpg |
Beautiful. I love the simplicity. ... But I couldn't imagine actually owning one. Do you have to fabricate all of your own parts, or are there places that manufacture the replacements that you need?
Amazing. Thanks for posting. Dan |
here's a website he can get any replacement sheetmetal at pretty decent prices if he needs any.
Howell's Sheetmetal Co. - Model A Ford & Model T Ford Parts he's sure got plenty of headroom in there. I've got to lean over the steering wheel to see traffic lights. and that's after i lowered my seat 3 inches. this is what it would have looked like new. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1280020071.jpg |
I saw a picture a while back of a 26tt unchopped driving down a street. it's such a short cab but really tall, to me it looked like the guy was driving an old time phone booth. it looked like there was a foot of window above the driver's head. my windows are about 10 inches tall. about the size of the lower half section of the last pic i posted
|
His two door isn't chopped and that is what his truck looked like, still had paint on the doors except it had the bed, not a stake bed. He still has those front fenders if you know someone that needs them, the only part he needs for the car is one inside door handle just in case you have too many. His sheet metal was all very straight.
edit the rear end is different, he had the two speed in his. He doesn't want it. |
I like the AR Torque Thrust D's on the orange truck. That is what I have on my Mustang.
|
I don't have stock door locks on mine. you can get them from Speedway motors, but they're not cheap. ($78 each) that's for the lock assembly. I have some antique porcelain house door knobs on mine. the square shaft fits just right. I have a bucket full of the old clear glass door knobs and shafts if he wants a set.

He just need one inside handle.

Love the flatty powered ones..
