Ya, positive with Malaria, again, this makes 19 times when you count the mixed infections, not a real big deal, the first time is the worst, but its going take me down for a week and I only have 18 days off so its a real bummer. I just bought a 85 Camino and a YSR50 and I wanted to play with those and the 930 but now its all on hold. I saw both the bike and truck but they were delivered when I was at work in S America, so I haven't really got my hands on them yet and now I have to wait. Not going to die, just like the worst flu you have ever had x 3, the people that die have 1 foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel, its just going to hurt bad for a while, there is an upside, now I have an excuss for not painting the house. Will post my thoughts on this in PARF when its over, cause this could be prevented.

Hey, its no fun. Had several crewmembers come down with it while in Nigeria and other wonderful parts of Africa where we were flying. At least you are in a civilized part of the world and have access to good meds.
Will hold the thought for you, its no fun but you are right that the first event is the worst. Glad I stayed inside and never caught it.

Is this work related? Wouldn't they give you time off for this besides vacation or accrued sick time? It's not like you broke your leg skiing.
Anyway, I hope it's short and not too bad. |

You need to increase your gin & tonic intake.

Take into account that tonic water contains about 83 ppm of quinine- I think that's about 1/2 of 1% of a medicinal dose. You'd need to drink a LOT of the stuff to ward off malaria, and since it's best served cold with gin . . .
