Cindy doesn't like this pic
Because it shows that we got old...big deal. If you're lucky enough to keep breathing long enough, you get old. So, here we are... Who is the older gentleman grabbing my Wife?
None other than the real life Sgt. Don Malarkey...a member of easy company, "band of brothers". He's a good example of being lucky enough to keep breathing. This taken during the pool hall celebration of his 89th birthday... Oh..how do you boys like my pool shooting "dork glasses"? The big lenses give me lens to peer through when down on the shot... There was a recent thread here about celebrities known...I guess Don is the biggest celebrity I know, and few would recognize him on the street. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1280679615.jpg |
A walking legend. Tell him thank you for his service.
|
That is the pool hall in Salem right?
Mr Malarkey has not changed much in the last 20 years if that is the guy I think it is |
Too cool. My dad has the same belt buckle.
|
I think that you all look fantastic, and not so old. If he's 89, that's amazing genes. He looks 20 years younger in that photo.

Tobra...yes, he's the guy you think he is... the real deal, as portrayed by an actor in "band of brothers". I feel honored to have met the man. Believe me, he has "class"... |

Paul,
Aging is part of getting old. Getting old is a lot better than the option. Only thing is that no one ever tells you as a kid or young man that you will be going to a lot of funerals along the way and everyone of them gets more and more difficult to attend. Please thank him for his service. Joe A |
Paul, you guys look great. Aging very well indeed. And that is THE Sgt Malarkey! That is very cool. Give him a hearty handshake for me.
|
she should LOVE that pic...she certainly looks way younger than the two old geezers flanking her:D;)
|
I am a Band of Brothers Junkie!!! A big salute to Mr. Malarkey and all the others who served....
|

great photo with the highest respect
thx |
The photo on the right is Malarkey taken in 2008 (according to Wikipedia anyway). In your photo he now looks young enough to be his son. What's this man's secret to aging that he's applied over the last two years?

All of you guys look great. We should all look as good. Maybe if you fix Cindy up with a nice Mustang, she will overlook the other stuff ;) Like the others, please tell Mr Malarkey we do indeed thank him for his service. |
BTW - Paul - next time you drive down to do the old Mckenzie Pass hwy, stop off at the Mohawk General Store - they have pulled pork sandwiches on Fridays, deviled eggs all the time & a pool table off to the side.

Come on...it's really not that complicated. But I'm sure that PWD appreciates your noting his age difference to the famous guy. |
I don't understand something about dying. If Heaven is such a great place, then why are we so worried about going there. Shouldn't sooner be better?
