Well, since I'm going to be cremated, and some of my ashes will be added to the paint that will go on my SC, I'll be my own 911 casket...:p

Now there is an original idea. I'm wondering how that would work.

Paul, for some reason I picture you wanting one lined with green felt! :D

sc_rufctr 08-06-2010 07:49 AM

They look great but... They are wider than a standard coffin. Which means it will cost more for the burial plot.
(Anybody considering one of these probably wouldn't mind paying extra for a bigger plot anyways)

You have to ask yourself... What does it matter? Once you're gone, you're gone.

Easy, just have some of my ashes added to the paint while mixing, and spray. There is a clause stating that my 78 SC (my 1st real 911) will get a bare metal repaint after I'm gone, the rest of my ashes will get spread at different races & tracks that I enjoy and the balance will be spread over Bimini...

I don't see Cemeteries as being a permanant resting place, as there is only so much land and I have seen a "moved" already, and my pets ashes & I will be much happier in the Islands...

I told my wife and kids to spread my ashes at my favorite tracks that I've driven. She said, OK, but don't expect us to visit you... :(

What is so wrong with a whiskey barrel? I'd think I would enjoy that! Just re-cork her up, no need to drain!

Thats cool. Keep me in mind if you need a painter I'd do that one for free.

I once thought I'd have my ashes placed in the driver's seat of the old 911S, have it run though one of those crushers that turns all into a little cube, then have that buried...

That would be sure to bring on a knashing of teeth and weeping...;)

But I came up with a better solution for the car...:D

Laneco 08-06-2010 01:19 PM

My ashes go to the red rock country of AZ. Scatter them there and my soul will rest in peace.

Otherwise I'm going to haunt someone's ass and you haven't been haunted until a red-head she-ghost haunts you!

Exactly. I have stipulated that when I'm gone, my family is to buy a very inexpensive plain casket and find an inexpensive plot.

There is no reason to have them waste a great deal of money for nothing.
When i die my soul will leave this world, what is left is nothing more than biodegradable matter.

My ex-wife said she wanted to be left in the street in a bio-hazard bag....I'm serious, officer...
