Virus?

This is a weird one. Everytime I visit a page on certain website, a file automatically attempts to download, named after the site. So for example, when I hit up a page here, it tries to download "forums.pelicanparts.com.exe". This is happening in both Google Chrome and IE. Both are catching the file before it downloads, and once I allowed the download, and the virus scanner caught the file immediately (I didn't launch it, of course). It only seems to happen on certain sites - here and rennlist, thesamba, but not facebook, cnn.com. Hmm, just checked 6speedonline, and it happens there too - maybe vBulletin software related?

I've been running a complete system scan all morning, and nothing so far (though it's not finished yet).

Ran AntiVir system scan, then housecall twice. Still getting the attempted download. It also tried to download "housecall.tredmicro.com.exe". WTF?
