Mixologists care to opine?

The family went to Aruba earlier this year for a great vacation. My wife who's not much of a drinker loved a drink there called the "Pink Iguana" at Iguana Joe's restaurant in Oranjestad. It is a fruity, frozen rum drink, not the vodka-up martini drink that appears on some mixology websites.

We are heading for a week on the Jersey Shore shortly and I wanted to be able to mix up this frozen pink iguana and I'm just not sure what goes into it.

Anyone here ever had Iguana Joe's Pink Iguana and know how it is made? Thanks.
Adam

Crushed Strawberries
Pineapple
Rum
Coconut Cream

Sounds like a Strawberry Pina Colada.

I'd follow a standard frozen colada recipe and adjust ingredients till wife is happy.

Big question is, Silver Rum, Dark Rum or Spiced Rum?

That's it! Thanks, I couldn't find it.

Vash's is definitely for an "up" drink, the wife wants one of them fruity pina colada types...

My tropical drink definitely leans towards Planters Punch and Dark and Stormies...
Will let you know how it turns out

Seems like with all the ingredients, any rum and even some vodka would be fine. to me, the more crap in a drink, the less the need for high dollar booze.

you need to start with a good rum, bacardi or better. then, toast your own organic coconut. make an infusion with the coconut and rum. make the drink, per the strawberry pina colada recipe.

Martini-like?? A martini is ice cold gin in a glass lubed with some vermouth. All that fruity crap is just a girl drink in a martini glass. Pouring Boone's Farm in a champagne flute doesn't make it champagne.

Spiced rum will usually kill a colada.

I do like me some Brugal Anejo.
