Weird little bug -- can someone identify it?
Saw this little bugger a couple of times in my yard in New Jersey this summer. Very colorful -- seems out of place in the North East. His body is a little longer than the diameter of a nickel.
Anyone have an idea what this guy is? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1281537018.jpg |
Common here in the midwest.
|
I think it's a stink bug (seriously)
|
looks like some type of longhorned beetle or a wood borer

I saw some a couple of years ago and looked into it. I remembered the webworm moth part, google handled the rest. The ones I saw were red though.

Taste test will confirm. If it's like coconut with a hint of cinnamon, you'll know for sure.
