And they learned from the movies by skipping the Arnold based T101 and
going straight for the T1000, nothing will be able to stop it we're doomed!

They'll use it to make their devices even more expensive.

As I have noted before; It's funny that Apple pushes for Rolex (or Omega, as in the video) watch type of packaging for a device that might last just a couple years. (typical cellular/PC obsolescence)

Oh well, at least it will be expensive.

Scott R 08-12-2010 12:15 PM

Maybe they won't overheat now.

I have at least 5 Apple boxes over 6 years old, one is 10 years old in my house, that are plugged in, turned, fully functional and are being used.

The stuff that I sold off I got 50% or more of original retail. This for boxes that were 4-5 years old.

Can't say the same for most of the non Apple hardware that I've purchased over the years.

island911 08-12-2010 12:54 PM

How old is you newest Apple? . . uh huh...

btw, I have at least 5 NON-Apple (PC) boxes over 6 years old, one is over 10 years old in my house, and is plugged in, fully functional and is being used. ... but that really doesn't mean squat. The fact of the matter is today's electronics obsolete themselves quickly. --who was that who talked about doubling of speed and capacity every few months? ...Moore?

I don't own an apple product, I don't think I ever have (besides that stupid free software that sneeks into the computer when you're not looking), and don't really plan to own an apple product in the near future.
So they can do whatever they want, they'll just have to do it with everyone else's money.

BTW, I only have one computer (at home, not counting everyone else's 'puter).

It's an old PC but it works well enough that I don't need a bunch of back-ups ;)
I can't remember how old it is but it's still running office 95 .................................

I've heard apple computers work really well. i've never used one. I prolly would but the ones I've seen were very expesnive so i went with as cheaper alternative. There's a surprise, huh?

2 years, thanks for the reminder, time for another.

They are only obsolete if you can't find a use for them.

Mine are perfectly happy in the garage for quick access to info when working on a project, or serving media as part of the entertainment center, or running some house automation etc....
