Fake news advertisement website
Walked right into this one.
I was just browsing Salon_dot_com This week in crazy: Dan Maes - This Week in Crazy - Salon.com, and clicked on the "Acai Berry(EXPOSED)" link, which at a quick glance looks like a Salon news article on losing weight. This click took me to News6 Daily - Diet Trends: A look at America's Top Diets, which at a quick glance looks like an L.A. news site.....until I realized every one of its links point to an "Acai Optimum" website. Hmmm.... Then I checked the "real" website:About Us | News6Daily.com, and found it doesn't have a home. Where is it based? What is it's slant? Who knows. There is no "Acai Berry" article in it's Health Section. The plot thickens.... |

Mystery solved.
FTC sues Ariz. company over acai pill free trials - Yahoo! News "It was a scam that bilked consumers out of up to $100 million, according to the Federal Trade Commission". Another quick hit-and-run internet scam. Money probably has already been transferred overseas. |
