Any vegans here? Pls recommend a cookbook.

I've been having digestive issues so I think I'd like to go vegan. If you have a favorite recipe or cookbook, please share. Thanks!

Get a colonoscopy. Then go vegan. In that order.

I'm 4 years away from my first routine colonoscopy, having no family history of colorectal cancer. But sounds like good advice, so thanks doc!

My dad had vague abdominal symptoms and got a colonoscopy. He had cancer. That was more than 10 years ago. He's cured.

I've been eating less and less meat. Red meat just makes me feel sort of miserable and I'm not crazy about poultry. I still eat sushi, though. That will be a hard habit to break. Go to amazon.com The vegetarian and vegan cookbooks are thoroughly reviewed. Good luck!

Here is a great cook book for vegans.

I'd weigh carefully getting nutritionist and MD input - if you haven't already. The benefits may outweigh the risks or vice versa. (Most vegans I know look like the living dead).

I am sorry, but I can not help with cook books. You definitely want to look at Indian cuisine / cookbooks. They do the best job IMHO in making vegetables and grains tasty as a main course.

Check out the moosewood cookbook(s) - vegetarian, not vegan, but with some modification you can make 'em all vegan

amazon for the cookbooks. if you're in a hurry and can't cook, i highly recommend the "tv dinners" made by Amy's (brand) Amys Kitchen :: Natural and Organic Foods

they taste great, and aren't too expensive if you pick them up at a Meijer or Walmart.

Kashi frozen meals are good too, in a pinch

I got two or three veggie cookbooks but still haven't made the switch.

Although I can go for two or three days without eating meat and not even think about it.

Like last night I had chili beans with Boca burger and melted cheese over it.

+1 on Indian food... you can find vegan Indian frozen dinners.

I know a couple hot chicks that are vegan, and know of a weight lifer/body builder that are vegan so no you will not turn into a pale skeleton.

Don't know what is up with all the haters... WTF do you care what someone choses to eat?

But I'm not giving up my sushi!

Also listen to Moses and get thee to a doctor!

Sorry, I'm at work right now or I would go to the kitchen and get the names of cookbooks and the brand names of the vegan frozen dinners I have.

One of my friends at work, just in the last few months developed a Gluten allergy.

He was able to eat anything he wanted for 45+ years, then couldn't. His doc hasn't ruled out Celiac disease yet, that would really suck.

I'm an 85% vegetarian, meaning I eat fish or chicken once a week, no red meat or alcohol because of a liver ailment. We have found many good vegetarian recipes by searching on Google.
