The good news is the bioch will be forever known as the lady the threw a cat in the trash. Everyone that knows her will know what she did. Everyone that just knows where she lives will know what she did. Her 15 minutes of fame is well deserved. She will face years of derision.

He was sent to the island for two weeks for "offensive language." Course others say much the same things even on the same theads and get by with it but because its Byron there are different rules I guess. I cannot say much more as I am somewhat in the middle of it and know some of the background going on...

Those articles fail to mention that the lady was supposedly tracked down by 4chan /b/ members... in less than a day. I guess cats are the one thing they take pretty seriously.

ah of course. that makes sense but I thought you guys applied that name to the oscar the grouch-type trash can.

it could be a commonwealth thing but generally we call them rubbish bins (without wheels) and wheelie bins (one with wheels).

"Rubbish" is too sophisticated for us yanks. The best we can do is garbage as in GIGO.

Can you imagine some bloke saying, "Ah there old chap, rubbish in, rubbish out. Cheerio." ;)
