Buying software online... a minefield?
I want to buy Photoshop Elements 7 (for Windows)... it's all I need for the basic stuff I do... definitely don't need Photoshop.
So I've looked around online and there is a huge variance in prices. Have any of you ever done business with any of these companies: Ztech Software, Software King, Buy.com, Royal Discount, VioSoftware.com ? I found them on cnet here: Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 Image editing reviews - CNET Reviews Here are a bunch more found at Google products: Adobe Photoshop Elements - PC - CD-ROM - Universal English I'm assuming many of the lower priced copies could be from bogus companies... pirated, etc. But at the same time, PE7 is one version back from the newest available, and maybe some of these places are trying to unload inventory. Just feels wierd thinking about giving out my credit card number to a place I've never heard of.

I've used buy.com, tigerdirect.com and various legitimate software sellers on eBay. Be sure the software is shrinkwrapped, license included, etc...
