That could work too, but it appears the desks above are restored vintage aircraft parts and probably sell to eccentric airplane buffs because they are "real" airplane parts. I can make "real" airplane parts, but that eats tons of time.

I was only thinking of how much time it would take to clean up and polish existing parts. Agree that if it's more than a novelty buyer, they would want some certification. What needs to be done is survey the market.

If you saw my comments on the "patent" thread, you know how I approach things.

Not from the garbage, but one step removed, I found these old clocks at a yard sale ($1 each). I have no idea what to use them for, but they are very well built, heavy brushed aluminum, in perfect shape, somewhat accurate and just kind of cool.
