Pelicans, pls help me with a marketing project I am doing for school by taking survey
I'd like to get some responses from out of the area. The survey focuses on quick and healthy meals on the go for kids. The plan is to gather data and come up with a marketing plan and strategy for McD in response to the Happy Meal toy ban.
If you are a parent of preschool to elementary school age kids or sometimes care for kids that age, please take my short, 17 question survey. It shouldn't take you more than 4 minutes. Thanks in advance! Healthy fast food meals for kids Survey |
My "kid" is 40...sorry.
|
Are you in Santa Clara County, or are we the only place with the ban? Actually, I thought McDonalds was able to get around this by offering milk and apples, etc.
|
Missing some stuff ... education (I have an AS and part of an AA), nutritional value nothing about sugar is mentioned

Started survey but have an issue with #3
Should be a two part question. Do you feel that McDonald's use of toys exploit young children's developmental immaturity..... Yes and entice children to prefer foods that may be harmful to their health? Not Neccesarily, I think it just entices them to want a toy. I answered no. |
Do they really think that by taking the toys out of happy meals that the lazy, sedentary losers are not going to be fat anymore? Sorry, I don't mean to PARF this.
I took the survey. My kids are 3 and 5. |
Done, not sure if it matters based on my location. FWIW, I have zero problem with toys in Happy Meals enticing kids to want to eat there - they've been doing that for decades. I DO have a problem with parents who treat such meals as a regular source of food, rather than an occasional treat. If we ban happy meals for kids, can we ban cigarettes for parents?
Personally, I hate the stuff - can't stand mcdonalds. Apparently when I was a kid I used to love to go there but not eat the food - talk about advertising backfiring :) |
Survey done!!!
I am a fan of McD, so guess the answers (fat? who cares!!!). Fortunately there is no talk of removing the toys here in Spain :) |

Done. My kids are 4 and almost 7.
I don't care for Mc Donald's food except for the sausage biscuit so we typically don't eat there. BK or Wendy's is my choice of burger places. Parents need to be parents and choose what is best for their own children. |
I won't participate beacuse I have no children under my care. But, I'd like to comment on the survey. The OP wants to come up with a "marketing plan and strategy for McD in response to the Happy Meal toy ban. "
OK, there are questions (#'s 12 -17) that are clearly designed to determine demographics. So, if there is a predominance of one demographic group over others, does the project intend to focus marketing towards that group? Unless the majority of those surveyed are married PhD's making over 150K living in Marin county, I fail to see the point. And shouldn't at least one question ask how many times an adult with children goes to McD's alone or with other adults? Doesn't that signal approval of the food for the rest of the family? |
Fast food only on road trips. McD is last on the list. I hate their burgers. Did the survey for ya cntdrv55.
One note: what about peeps that have kids 2-11 years in age? You need to keep the choices more open. George |
Thanks everyone for your help so far. Crafting an effective survey is a science and an art. There are courses one can take relating to authoring surveys. This is my first stab at it so I did miss stuff. If you guys are interested, I will post the results of it this weekend. I've received 79 responses!

Reduce the focus but ask the same questions multiple times but phrase them
differently. So if you have 12 questions total then you are asking 6 twice or 4 three times etc... If you have |
There's another one.
BTW, I don't even know what is in a happy meal to answer the question about happy meal content. |
