Absolutely definitely. We had a bedbug issue this summer after a stay in NYC. Found them in the bed, changed rooms to a clean one, but brought them home with us. Had to have the house fumigated twice, and had to wash every single article of clothing in the house twice in hot water, after each fumigation. NOT a pleasant experience whatsoever. Bedbug bites make mosquito bites seem like a tickle.

Can bed bugs spread diseases like mosquitos do?

Maybe we start our own registry, a PelicanTripAdvisor?

Movie theaters are another place you can bring em home.....
Makes me itchy just thinking about it.

I don't go to "those" kind of theaters. ;) :D And I'n not letting Paul Reubens in my house. :eek:

Pull the sheets up. Look for little black dots in the corners of the mattress. I check EVERY room, no matter how nice the hotel.

I get asthma in movie theaters. They sweep up the popcorn and that's about it.

I did an Indoor Air Quality Study for the Jay Leno (Tonight Show) once, Jay and staff were complaining about respiratory problems. The air and wipe samples I took showed all kinds of human dander, and allergens. They'd not shampooed the audience seats ever, as in not since Johnny Carson was the host. I had them shampoo everything, steam clean everything. The results were almost a 100% reduction in issues. If you think about it, people visiting LA who are going to see Jay are going whether they're hacking up a lung or not. Also, people visiting the show are from around the World, and having widely varying senses of personal hygiene.

Afraid it's nationwide...and getting worse, since the banning of many of the pesticides once used against them.
