Moto GP...Indy Grand Prix
Anybody going? Before I move out west, I wanted to be sure to hit all three events this year at the track. Indy 500, Brickyard 400, and now the Moto GP.
Think it's going to be a blast!

Have fun and post some pics..would love to join you. A 13 year old from my track is riding the 250 spec class tomorrow (or today?) so big news around here.

Rider dies after crash during warm-ups - 13 WTHR
Sad...another 13 year old was killed this morning on the track. Got hit by another rider during the warm up lap. Here are some photos I took this afternoon....didn't take a nice camera, just my little Elph: Got Ducks?

Good stuff, love the ducs (obv).
Peter Lenz (the 13 yr old) was a tragedy. Ben Spies kicked butt--he'll be very competitive with a factory bike..no doubt.

Why don't the bikes go backwards down the straight like the F1 cars did?

I would assume just for safety? At 200mph on the bike, the transition to turn one is easier than if they were doing it in reverse.

Peter Lenz from Vancouver , WA. I've seen the kid race at Pacific Raceways, he was something special. Nine national titles and nine regional. A friend of mine who races bikes knew Peter well and was a huge supporter. He's devastated to say the least...
