John and Jim- Knock it off. Play nice!

Look at posts #26 and #29 and you'll see Jim being an azzhole. He brought it on himself.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

mossguy 09-01-2010 07:27 PM

I repeat, knock it off and play nice.

Heel n Toe 09-01-2010 07:35 PM

And, I repeat... you should be addressing your remarks to the guy who was originally spoiling for a fight.

Also... I am very disturbed that you have chosen not to close your post with the usual "Best, Tom."

:)

Both of you are guilty here... Just drop it....

mossguy 09-01-2010 07:38 PM

Sorry!

Best,
Tom

chapo 09-01-2010 08:37 PM

Yawn, the new Mustang will smoke a lot of the Porsches made, then you can turn your lease in and get something else. How are those 928/944 resale values doing?

porsche4life 09-01-2010 08:50 PM

944 resale values are back on a slow climb for the really nice ones... How are the new mustang's doing resale?

Oh we all know that... Falling like a damn rock....

Is that thing a Mustang or a Poontang (cross between a mustang and a pinto)?

Dottore 09-02-2010 08:09 PM

Just read this.

You guys are far too hard on Paul. He has paid his Porsche dues.

He's absolutely right to remind us from time to time that there is life outside of the Porsche universe, and that we shouldn't be quite so far up our collective bums about this whole Porsche thing. Even though this is a Porsche board. This is OT after all.

That green Bullitt of his is one hell of a car.

And if he could somehow swap his engine for the new aluminum 5.0 liter that car would be more fun that a barrel full of lesbians—and certainly more fun than many of the cars owned by the Pelican faithful. Perhaps it already is.

If there is a lesson here, I think it's this: never ever fall into the Q-Tip and toothbrush trap. If someone says "concours" to you, turn and run the other way. Enjoy these cars, drive the crap out of them and put them away wet.

Laneco 09-02-2010 08:40 PM

Oh dang, Paul? If I smarted off and offended you, let me apologize right now. I hope you do realize I'm a very open minded fan of American Iron. Hell, I put a lump in a Jaguar and have a picture of myself with Carroll Shelby (taken when I was about two years old)....

Just teasing Paul - like you, like the car - love the drivetrain.

I like Paul, and typically enjoy his posts. But the Mustang nonsense is wearing a little thin. Believe it or not, the answer to every car discussion isn't a Bullitt Mustang. This is coming from someone that has owned and enjoyed a variety of cars, and would happily buy a supercharged Cobra if I could find one that hasn't been trashed.:)

DanielDudley 09-03-2010 03:06 AM

This is Off Topic. Until now, I was pretty sure Mustangs were non controversial, fun cars.

Perhaps the title was misleading ? Oh sure, it's all fun and games - until it's you in the spot light.

VINMAN 09-03-2010 03:38 AM

Good post Dottore. I agree.
