I cannot imagine what she/they have gone through.

I hope the mother finds some solace in knowing that her writing/talking about it will help someone else.


My older brother was killed in a car crash when he was 17(1975). After I had kids I realized how devastated I would be if one of them died young. I asked my Mom how she coped with the loss of their first born son. She told me "I had 5 other kids that needed me".

Those milestones will just keep coming.

I have found the grief journey to be more of a circle. The different stages just keep going around and around from day to day. One emotion that I think is left out is jealousy.

I think the worst part is that my wife and I are not always in the same stage, so we have to be careful in any discussion.
