Do you miss Snipe?

Didn't agree with him all that often but I do kinda miss his off the wall posts and his flog a dead horse attitude.

Who's your pick for the guy who takes his place?

mossguy 09-04-2010 07:10 AM

The Mustang threads and posts seem to provoke similar responses.

Best,
Tom

Sure, he was entertaining.

Good point, some of the mustang threads could very easily pass for the 928 threads.

What happened to him? Banned? Why?

Laneco 09-04-2010 07:11 AM

I like Snipe. Intend to drop him a note occasionally, maybe even take him to lunch next time I'm in Philly.

He found another board.

Well, fun while it lasted.

Having Sniper around could be like adding a dash of Tobasco sauce to the dish that is PPOTBBS. The problem is that once he got the smallest bit of encouragement he stopped adding a dash of flavor to the dish and started serving big heaping pots full of straight Tobasco. The last year or so was all Tobasco, very little food.

The board may be blander without him, and a few of his compatriots who have left or cut down their posting since his demise, but it is much easier to take. I suspect that soon others will start adding spice and we'll get back to the point where we can have long discussions that are interesting without most posts degenerating into schoolyard taunting contests.

t951 09-04-2010 07:52 AM

No.

speeder 09-04-2010 07:53 AM

He was boring. If his posts were the standard of what constitutes excitement or entertainment to someone here, this board has completely jumped the shark. We used to have hilarious threads on the 911 tech board that went on for pages and pages of side-splitting fun. I've never even cracked a grin at one of his posts.

Just ugly women and abject weirdness. Pass...

Don't describe his roulette wheel of ladyfriends that way...

sc_rufctr 09-04-2010 08:03 AM

In some ways I do but this place is no different without him.

widgeon13 09-04-2010 08:07 AM

Who?

scottbombedout 09-04-2010 08:32 AM

In snipers head it was all about sniper. Boring.

Icemaster 09-04-2010 08:43 AM

No. Too much of anything - good or bad - gets tiresome. He was a one trick pony.

Tobra 09-04-2010 09:05 AM

Sure. He is a black and white sort of guy, something is either right or wrong. I also think this about many things, but am generally more circumspect in how I express it.

He did not get banned. As I see it, he got a two week vacation that he felt was unjustified and said the heck with it. Maybe his disability ran out, or he improved enough to go back to work.

Who knows, maybe a rich cougar latched on to him and he is too busy globe trotting to check in, or some crazy chick offed him when he dumped her, ain't no tellin'

Luckily other people have stepped up to post police and toyota bashing threads.

GH85Carrera 09-04-2010 10:32 AM

I miss him like a toothache.

bell 09-04-2010 10:37 AM

Did he leave? Didn't even notice......was too busy in the breast thread.......
