I know Michael Chikilis likes to do his own stunts. Must keep you busy Hugh, making sure the star is safe! He's a nice guy to boot (as is the female lead).

We don't have any 12 year olds so we probably won't be watching it much. This is it.

We limit him on stunts, yeah he's a pleasant guy in that he talks to the crew (lots and lot of "talent" can't be bothered). Yeah it keeps me busy.

Buy me a nice big flat screen and I'll watch all your shows. Until then, I'll have to rely on the others.

Hi Hugh
I could only watch the first 30 minutes as I had an obligation after that. The CG of the plane was cheap looking. I was surprised to see a very poorly edited jump cut on a foreground wipe shot in the lab. I was disappointed that you used the same roof downtown for both the "jump" scene and the "chase" scene. I understand the economics, but it left a cheap impression. I didn't know anything about it going in , and am honestly not your market, but I was shocked at how quickly it became a live action version of The Incredibles. Just my 2 cents Steve

Steve:
I agree completely with your DP assessment. And you're 100% correct it is the Incredibles.

Hugh -- make your car a star! Nothing like a little Porsche porn on network TV.

So the family get super powers, totally unbelievable...the thing would never get that hot of a wife.

I loved the carjacking scene.
Sorry, didn't watch it. Traveled to Boston yesterday and had a dinner with the extended family.

watched it and enjoyed it, but i do have a 5 year old and family television is hard to come by.
i agree that it does look like a knock off of "The Incredibles" but that isn't a bad thing. i have to assume the wife will get pregnant with a jack-jack soon. i wonder if the powers come from the water or the pollen of the plant. for your sake i hope it is the water. i have already set up a season pass for the show.

I enjoyed it. I don't watch much TV these days but I made it a point to catch this one.
1) Like Chiklis 2) Like Benz 3) Loved "The Incredibles" ![]() Also got a kick out of seeing the milquetoast father from "Seventh Heaven" (my wife used to watch it religiously, hah-hah) in it and the interesting turn his character took at the end.

We're big fans of The Incredibles so we liked the premise. Whether it works going forward will depend on the writing. We watch Chuck and have been impressed with how long they've been able to keep that story fresh.
I was a little disappointed that some of the subject matter was PG-13 so my 10 year old won't be watching. Looked for, but didn't see your name in the credits. What's up with that???

I liked it, and will likely be watching it - that's rare. I don't own a tv and watch only 2-3 shows. I was primed, as I like both Chiklis and Benz. My SFX gripe - Benz was running around a horse-racing track when her lab assistant, the perky and quirky Autumn Reeser, was timing her. The claimed speed (a mile every 6 seconds) was faster than the effect showed, for even a long race track (10 furlongs). She should have been passing Reese twice during each line.
The teen daughter's character was the only false note for me. She was obsessed with blending in, yet complained it took a year to get a guy to notice her. Half her lines are related to being a virgin, yet she appears to be under the average age for sexual activity in the US. (She insulted a girl for losing her virginity 2 years prior, indicating that that girl was ahead of the curve.) Her last line is "I can't be a freak and a virgin!" and yet neither of those would be obvious to anyone seeing her; shut up about both and who would know? It looks like 6 eps are in the can, so I'll give it at least that.
