Is there any way to improve the biomechanics of the screening machine? Or to power it? If it is critical to your business, you don't want to be one re-injury away from a production shutdown.

my solution is to get an automatic press John. this one isn't made for what I'm using it for, it's perfect for sampling and small runs, but the wheel is too heavy for production. I had thought of creating some kind of drive mechanism for it, wouldn't be too difficult, but would be a big time and energy suck.

hoping to get the "new" press next week.

Hey Shaun, I forgot about your hernia. Best to you for a speedy recovery. Just remember to give yourself a little time to mend. You might feel pretty good in a day or so, but you will get tired easily if you push it. Take it easy. Remember the meds make you feel better than you are.

Isn't that always the case?

thanks Milt, I'm taking today off. it's kind of nice not working. think I'll be at 95% tomorrow if I'm good today.

Hernia? Rotator cuff? You're a mess, Shaun. :p

indeed, just a few short years ago I was indestructible. this past season's production really killed me, in a good way. if I were healthy, the company wouldn't be growing.

If I were you, I'd invest heavily in duct tape. You can fix anything with that stuff.

Alot of good points given, for sure see a good shoulder Doc.

You can live without a rotator cuff, aka supraspinatus muscle, most easily torn muscle in our body.

My right one has been totally torn off for the last 34 yrs, the insertion sits atrophied by the head. The deltoid muscles do alot more work on that side. In the last 5 yrs as I get older, I have a hard time now lifting my arm over my head.

My left one was partially torn 10 yrs ago and I had that one fixed during Christmas break. Two weeks later was in the office adjusting people, it was sore and had alot of crepitus but it went away. Unfortunately it is slightly torn again. Torn rotator cuffs are a hazard of the Chiropractic profession.

Had 2 partially torn rotators repaired after years on manning up. What an idiot I was. Once in, Doc made the call for some bone grinding to free up some space doing an open anterior acromioplasty...sp?

Very, very important to bust your butt doing rehab and PT and hopefully you should be pain free....I am.

If it is your dominate side, which it usually is, shaving is exciting and for wiping your a$$, use a lot more toilet paper than you think.

One day??? Ya know, that's just not enough time for the hernia deal. But, I'll let you find that out on your own. ;)

Come on man, take it easy.
