in my photography days..i was best man at a wedding. in my "man bag", i tossed my leica camera, and a few rolls of B/W film. i randomly shot photos at this wedding. i treated it from an outsider view..almost voyeuristic. i boxed up a lame gift..(margarita set) for the wedding present, and later sent a box of photos i came up with.. no flash. that leica can pull off some voodoo images.
anyways, word got out. dad at this wedding was a criminal defense attorney..in El Paso. word got out to a very colorful crowd. i had offers that were off the hook. mad mad money. i turned them down. the fear of turning in blank images...or worse, crappy images to some drug king pin daughter..didnt sit well. i admit it, i freaked...they loved my pictures!! i should have done one for free. i bet they had great pictures, and lovely ladies stashed about. it was scary..to scary for my fragile ego.
