MacNeil Automotive
I noticed that MacNeil Automotive took out a four-page add in Automobile this month.
The first two pages dealt with their new factory in Bollingbrook, IL and how they have sourced most of the heavy equipment from inside the U.S.. The second two pages was their standard ad for their floormats. I have a set for my Silverado. They cost about $200, but I don't care if I track mud or salty snow into the truck now as it's virtually impossible to get it onto the carpeting with these floormats. Did anyone else see the ad? (I imagine they were in other car mags.) Thoughts? |
Yeah, they have been running those ads all summer. It's a neat idea to try to attract buyers.
|
We have a set in the wife's Outlook. The front ones are great, but the rear one sucks. It slides around and is now deformed.
The dad and son are car guys and have cars maintained by Fall Line in Northbrook. Saw both the 996 and M3 that the dad and son drive respectively. What I want to know is where the previous model for their ad went. Was she his wife who grew too old for the ads? Now they have the younger brunette. I prefer the previous model...looks like an uber hot MILF :) |
I've had both the mats and the "pans". I won't buy mats again unless pans are not made for the vehicle in need. The pans make it pretty tough to mess up a carpet.
|
I guess what I have are the "pans" for my front and rear seats in the truck. I love them.
|
I have the mats now and have owned the mats in the past. MacNeil is my idea of a responsible company and I will continue to support them. I love the quality, price, and the fact that they are so American.
|
I have had their stuff in the last few cars. I wouldn't drive my Mini until the pans camer in for them. Lucky that theire service is as good as thge product.
|
I've used the mats in my Toyota since it was new. Gone thru a couple of sets now, (Hint, the grey ones don't last as long as the black ones)
I really like the company. |
they run those ads in AutoWeek every week. Given that autoweek comes out weekly and is not very thick, a large % of every edition is now a MacNeil "Patriot" ad.
What they're doing with their company seems admirable. They certainly aren't shy about it, though. |
