New reloading press
I just set up my new Forster Co-Ax press last night and cranked out 50 rounds of .308 for some ladder testing tomorrow.
I am absolutely thrilled with this thing and love how quick and easy it was to set up. I can change my dies in 15 seconds and it doesn't require a caliber specific shell plate holder to operate. The floating shellholder base really makes operation smooth and fast too. The only thing I'm not quite sold on is the primer seater. I have yet to read up on it's operation but the rockchucker seems to still have a place on my bench. ... at least until I get a hand primer. I also got a RCBS Chargemaster which, coupled with the digital scale, drops and trickles powder charges in an operation strangely similar to using a microwave oven. Very svelte. I was able to only get a few hours of play time in and loaded up some 175 SMK's with 42.0-44.6grains of Varget to dabble with over my chrony this weekend. At any rate, I can give a big thumbs up to the Chargemaster and the Forster Co-Ax for precision loads. Neither are absolutely necessary and I still check every third charge on my beam scale, but boy does it ever make the operation go faster! |
Very nice!
