Isn't that another S2000 behind the crashed car in the first pic? Maybe this was at the car's press introduction or something. It's possible that one of the auto journalists got a little over enthusiastic. Otherwise I can't think of a scenerio where two identical S2000s are in the same shot.

Nevermind, just went to tailofthedragon.com and found the story. It looks like an awesome trip, I'll have to go there sometime.

that probably happened during a honda/s2000 club drive. we have those drives every couple of months through the porsche club of the bay area. things can get out of hand for an overenthusiastic/inexperienced/incompetant driver very quickly.

Yea at Deals Gap they have every kind of club get together you can imagine, from Z3s to Grand Prix GTPs. It's really quite amusing just to go sit at the service station at the entrance/exit of the gap to watch all of the different cars and motorcycles.

that's definitely on my places to visit list! Is there any kind of "thrill ride in the tri state area. I've hear some people going up into the appalacheans(spelling is wrong) anywhere else?

Pat: thrill ride in tri-state? Yes there is...yes there is....

This spring, we're planning on doing a rally up through Ringwood and through Bear Mountain state park in NY. Up to Storm King highway as well.

Kind of a joint rally with Pelican BBS-ers and Rennlist folks. Check for updates: believe me, you won't be dissapointed.

Since I used to have an S2000, and met with the S2000 guys at "the dragon"....hehehe... that place is AWESOME!!! That wreck didn't happen with us, but may have at a more recent meeting.

Lots of motorcycle guys in full leathers.....some people actually out sightseeing (driving 35mph as close to 80 S2000's passed them illegally)....

anyway.... even with competition brake pads, my car started fading coming down the mountain on the southside....i would go back if i had a car to take
