Scam or idiot kid (or both)
 

This reads like a scam from Nigeria, but I guess it could be an idiot kid.

I'm selling the stock wheels from my Mazdaspeed Miata on Craigslist. This is the first response that I received. It came from "Sara Gurley"

I don't get it why you think it's a scam? It's might be from someone who doesn't speak english well. All he meant was "what is the lowest you are willing to let it go for?", right?

If his name was Quoc Nguyen or something, I might buy that, but "Sara Gurley"...

All the more reason not to deal with them. :D

Seriously, though...it sounds like classic Nigerian-speak. Someone with poor Engrish skills would still be more eloquent.

ITEM is the big clue... This is some kind of blanket email that got sent out to tons of listings. The guy has no clue what he emailed about. He's just fishing for a dumbass

I was getting emails like this midsummer from the listing on my Corrado that I sold in Feb... It was rather annoying.

ok ok. I didn't really think about the name. In the future, if I ever scam any one from internet, I will pick Quoc Nguyen as my name :D

It's fun to respond to these with a brand new e-mail... no reference to the Craigslist ad at all.

Tell him you have lots of items for sale and ask which one is it that he's interested in.

Send back a reply of "mugu ete", that's supposed to be real bad in the Nigerian language...
