Anyone ever try this? Using a garbage bag instead of tire irons to fit a tire onto a rim?

i will try that on the next 480-18/ 500-18 REAR METZLER DIRTY BIKE TIRE w/a HD METZLER/MOOSE TUBE.


great way if it really works with these stiff sidewall dirty bike tires and xtra thick tubes.


especially if the are NLA AKRONT RIMS!

I don't think I'll throw away my tire irons but I'll give that a try next mounting session.

Might try it next time to put new kart tires on. Them MG Green slicks are a real Booger.

i find it pretty hard to believe that a garbage bag is more slippery than tire lube...

True - seems like some soapy water would do the trick as well still, looks like a clean way to do it.
