nice!

the dam must be old enuff to have algae/lichens or moss on it.

Jeff Higgins 09-23-2010 12:10 PM

It's the Buffalo Bill dam on the Shoshoni outside of Cody, according to the email I received. Another shot:

Wrong. Those are female and juvenile bighorns.

Bighorn SHEEP.

ODDJOB UNO 09-23-2010 02:27 PM

they should, come hunting season paint a giant azzed TARGET on the dam and any sheep/goats that move into/onto "X" can be legally taken.

and of course install a OSHA APPROVED SAFETY NETS and have all the goats/sheep wear OSHA APPROVED SAFETY HARNESS'

ODDJOB UNO 09-23-2010 02:28 PM

p.s. this is OBVIOUSLY another installment of "MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS/SHEEP"

on2wheels52 09-23-2010 02:37 PM

Sure-footed critters they are.

no, as Tobra said, they are Mtn. Goats, since this is in N. Amer.

Oreamnos americana - IIRC & if they didn't change the name

Garp 09-23-2010 03:12 PM

whatever.....that's hilarious!

RWebb 09-23-2010 04:14 PM

so it is not Buffalo Bill dam on the Shoshoni outside of Cody?

can't recall if I ever visited that dam, but most US dams are poured concrete (or earthen) - I actually thought it was in China at first glance...

Jeff Higgins 09-23-2010 07:02 PM

Looks like Garp found out where they really are.

I often wonder how these email strings go from the correct description to an incorrect one, especially on something as simple as location. Like Randy, the construction had me a bit leery, but I just didn't care enough to check. Cool photos anyway.

So, Italy - what kind of critters are they, other than obviously goats or sheep? Are these the prancing critters adorning Ferrari hoods?
