Never tried em, but Bose are way too expensive, so I'd try something different. You can always return them. You should fly quiter airplanes or get farther from the engines.......

Have friends who love the lightspeed headsets. They are the way to go.
They are very comfortable and light.

I'll buy a pair when the vice like Dave Clark's are toast.

I have two DC sets that I usually use, but have hopped a couple rides in hotrods recently and started thinking about some ANR sets. DC just ain't cutting it against a straight-piped 540 and screaming prop.

Maybe I should check out gliders.

What about the FlightCom brand?
$330 for an ANR headset - sounds like a good deal if they are any good.

I'd like to try the Lightspeed.

But I've been extremely happy with the Bose. Only headsets I've used that stayed comfortable no matter how long the flight is. All others will get uncomfortable towards the end of a longer flight.

One great thing about Lightspeed is their customer service- I have a set of Lightspeed ANR's for the back seat where the headband broke. As I needed to go to Portland (Where they are based), so I thought I'd drop them off for repair.

I arrived about noon, and the receptionist was so apologetic that some of the guys were at lunch, and it may take a couple hours before they were ready. A couple hours? I thought I'd drop them off and wait a few weeks. I had lunch myself, and when I returned, they were as new. For no charge!

While they stay in the back because we use Bose up front, absolutely nothing negative to say about Lightspeed.

Do any of you guys use in ear? My wife and I are going on a fall tour in the 356. Probably central texas which is 500 miles from here. It will be hot enough we'll have to have the windows down and I'd like to be able to talk to her without yelling plus music. Is there anything made that might work for the application I have in mind?
