Selling a car - buffer setup?
1994 Ford. Single stage infamous fading red paint from factory which is known to oxidize within 3 months.
I think I need to buff it as hand waxing is absolute torture on this car due to the oxidized paint and the inherent friction of the wax process on this paint. A genuine arm breaker, and then the paint looks spotty when finished. Cheapo buffer setup ? The buff pad will be RED, just amazing how much paint comes off no matter what hand process I've used in the past. Equipment/technique/process? |
Check ou Griot's Garage website. Great information on machine polishing!

I imagine that there has to be a cheap buffer pad that you could attach to a cordless drill for this purpose. Maybe the local auto parts store will have one.

Will spending all that time on it help the value that much?
