Share the view from your office
Not to gloat, but I just moved into my new corner office and wanted to share the view which I think is pretty nice. I'll post a night time view later as I am usually here at sunrise and/or sunset these days (manage commercial problem loan dept for a regional bank).

The view from my office chair is a wall. We don't have any window at all in this steel building. We call it the Monster Garage sometimes. The good news is I can park my car just 12 steps from my desk. When we have thunder storms and possible hail, I park inside.

Home office for me. The view isn't much, but the cat keeps my lap warm and the hound dog is good company.

Taken about two years ago, it's actually sunnier today, don't have a decent camera with me to take a new one.

Not the best pic I could find of my wife's view, but there is a lot to see every day.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1286226001.jpg The Mercedes ship off loads a few times a month and now and then a gull wing will show up. More now than then. That was one of the first to arrive. In the background you can see Palos Verdes where Wayne lives between the derrick and the building. (He's on the other side of the hill.) The white building closer is the Port of Long Beach Office of Homeland Security. Some cool classified stuff in there. If you were to swing around to the left, that would be a view of Catalina Island and the Pacific. Her pier sits at the mouth of the harbor. Just over the top of the building to the left of the derrick is the SeaLaunch support vessel. When they tow the barge down to the Equator with a missile on board, it goes right past the buildings. |

The long trapezoidal arm at the left with water on both sides is where the pic is taken. The position or direction in the pic would be straight up. The SeaLaunch is based on the even skinnier pier at the top left pointing to the trapezoid pier. http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...YH1d2sf1MGpeA= The white dot at the left is where Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose was housed, next to the Queen Mary. You become very small when at the port. |

The water drop on the monitor is one that I took. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1286241964.jpg Back in the mobile office, going home. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1286241994.jpg |
