Another Flying Car but looks user friendly

Well if you consider fixed airspeed of 30 mph or so as a useful way of traveling by air then yes it is a workable flying car. On a 10 mph wind speed day, then you are making 20 mph over the ground going upwind. I think I would rather take the highway at 70 mph if I intended to get somewhere in the least amount of time.

Powered parachutes are toys for cruising around on warm summer evenings sightseeing. They are not useful for much more than that due to their low airspeed.

True flying cars while attainable, will always be a compromise due to the added weight of the road-going drive system and additional strength required to handle rough roadways.

I could see having one of those on a large ranch, way cheaper than a helicopter for checking fence lines and such, plus you can drive it on rough terrain. How would one person deploy the airfoil?

Friend of mine back in NY has a business flying something similar.

They use a small airboat engine strapped to what looks like a medium size cart chassis with rollbars.

Biggest problem with them is they are useless on a windy day.

They need pretty much ideal conditions.
