Banjo questions
Have a chance to buy a Fender 5 string banjo with a hard case for $400, looks in nice shape but I know nothing about them. could see no damage to it, what do I look for and does that seem to be a fair price?

you wanna check all frets for proper fit and finish...are they worn, are any too high or too low and are any of the fret ends sharp. is the neck straight? do the tuners hold tension correctly...is all metal hardware in good shape without cracks? the skin and bridge can be changed easily so dont worry bout them
have no idea if the price is ok since not familiar with fender banjos.. ******* makes a nice entry level banjo if your looking to get into it. i had one and found it to be a good instrument |
why is the brand i mentioned blacked-out?
