Anybody want to buy a brand new Mustang?
Yes, its a 2010, with less than 1,000 miles on it. Long story short, my parents got it and now dont like it. Say its too hard to get in and out of.
(well, they are almost 80!)Totally legit. It was valued at @$27k when they drove it off the lot a few weeks ago, and they only want @$20,000. It's sunburst gold and in Arizona. I wish I had the cash, it's a buyers dream. Anybody interested, let me know. I'm trying to get some pictures from them but trying to explain "the whole digital camera, upload to computer, to send email over the internet" is giving me heartburn.. lol.. |

If they bring it back to the same dealer, wouldn't the dealer give them around that amount?

No offense, but could they have gotten a worse color?
I would think they should be able to get 20-22k no problem. |

Out here the V6 with 300hp outsells the GT. That color doesn't look horrible, but it doesn't look like the most popular, either. Was $27K before tax & license? If it was a "deal," they should be able to get $25K for it privately. That dealer sounds like a dick. Get me the VIN on it. Maybe a local dealer will buy it and truck it up...
An example of the color:

Tell me how it's equipped. V6? I know the GM of one of the largest Ford stores here. I can ask him if they're interested once I have details.

Looks like a 2010 V6 is 210hp and not CA legal, unless it has CA emissions. The 2011 V6 is 305hp and has a 6-speed automatic, so there's an uphill battle here.

They're in their 80's and bought a car like this. That salesman was GOOD.

Steve is right - the 2011 is what all the Rustang guys talk about. The big gap in model year performance will make it tough to sell. And yes, that color is pretty "special" too. Sorry your parents didn't like it - IMHO Mustangs or at least their suspensions, are perfect for 80 year olds.

the VIN is 1zvbpsan1a5148799
it is the v-6 with power everything except seats.. has the stripe package down the rockers(rallye package?) and is Inca Gold. They are willing to go to $20.. its a great deal for somebody! still working on the pictures, but it looks just like the one above, plus the 'mustang' stripe down the rockers. |

Try calling a few Ford dealers in AZ and ask for the used car manager. You should see a pattern develop on it's wholesale market value. Whatever it is, you should be able to sell it for $2K more privately, although that sounds awkward.

You did well...with the new V-6 putting out 305 horsepower, the '10 models just aren't that popular. Too bad they couldn't handle the seating...this car will serve it's next owner long & well with proper servicing. The engine is perfectly capable of delivering 200,000 trouble free miles.
