A little bit of pepper spray never hurt anyone...

Unpleasant stuff. I've got experience with tear gas from Navy boot camp. Wicked stuff too. It is amazing how quickly you begin to ooze from nose, eyes, mouth. It last a while too. Worse yet are the fellas who decided to shave the day we were going to the gas chamber, woohoo they were hurt'n units.

Someone let some out in a cafe I was sitting in years ago - probably not that kind of strength, and it was a small shot into the air several tables away. As soon as it started to spread around the room, the cafe emptied in seconds. That stuff is really incapacitating!

That guy should seriously re-evaluate his career choice.

My experience, imagine 3 gas grenades set off in the equivalent of a shipping container with the doors closed. Gas mask training, they work. The worst part is getting screwed by your buddies who can't follow instructions and therefore shaft those of us who can. We could not begin to exit the chamber until everyone had there masks off. So many of us suffered way too long while the pushies tried to reapply their already contaminated masks. Nasty stuff!

The gas chamber was nothing compared to the OC spray. The gas was more uncomfortable than anything. The OC was like liquid fire.

In the gas chamber in Basic, I remember trying to say my name rank and ssn without taking a breath . I did it with no problem. Then the drill Sgt hit me in the stomach.

No. My mom had a license to carry mace and had a few small canisters. They sat for years and one afternoon, I decided to take them outside and test them. No use having something that no longer worked. A couple did not wok, the third did, I was aiming into a trash can and a breeze kicked up and the mace blew back into my face. BTW, this was actual mace, not pepper spray.

Had a canister of pepper spray develop a small rupture once...in my front jeans pocket. Ended up marinating my sack in it quite nicely.

On a Saturday night at 2 am, you can always see some crazy sights at the Denny's downtown by all the clubs. That Saturday night at 2 am, you could walk
into the bathroom and find me...squatting on the counter over the sink, desperately splashing water onto my
balls.

Good times.

The gas chamber is nothing. I had to OC all my Force protection team members on my last ship. I was the only one qualified to do so. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!! I ran pretty much the same course you see on the video but unfortunately Stillwell would have failed immediately and been sent to medical to get a mydol, absorbant pad and a binky .

"Close your eyes and hold your breath"??? What kind of weak stuff is that? I had to PT with my mouth and eyes wide open while reciting things my PT instructor told me.

I used to work on a military base where they trained troops for BC warfare. They used CS at first; then... (supposedly) they gave them xx seconds to unpack & don their suits before they released nerve agent into the building.
