good thing i drove to work in my own car today!!!

my wife got ambitious and ordered 9 yards of decomposed granite. the final step of our front yard "re-do". my wife forgot to move her car, and now there is a huge pile of material blocking her in. if i left my truck there, they would both be blocked. i have a multi-car driveway that we have to park in tandom.

wow.:D

get a new wife

carambola 10-13-2010 02:54 PM

yeah, that's a huge breakdown in communication.

I see much shoveling in your near future.

vash 10-13-2010 04:06 PM

i am not proud...but damn. it is funny! good thing she is cute.

Joeaksa 10-13-2010 04:08 PM

Drive on the grass... it works.

vash 10-13-2010 04:10 PM

i have raised berms installed..her forester is very very blocked in. zero lawn.

RWebb 10-13-2010 04:27 PM

you know what is going to happen now, don't you?

you are going to ferry her all over town (incl. shopping trips & gab sessions with her friends)

BUT that will give you some relief from the back-breaking job of moving the crushed rock from blocking her car

BTW - let's see a pic of this pile

Whoever delivered the stone needs a good smack down.. WTF (Who the F#$%)

drops a load of stone in a driveway blocking a car in? unless the got the ok?

Icemaster 10-13-2010 04:38 PM

I see a Bobcat rental in your immediate future. Either that or you'll be a drivin miss daisy for a while.

Randy, I think that could have been more delicately phrased. But I agree...Cliffy, time for some pics of your wife.

she will be driving the tacoma. i have my bro-in-law coming over with a friend. shovels, two wheelbarrows..wont be too bad. i think.

TimT 10-13-2010 05:01 PM

Sheesh, you make it seem like the car is trapped...

You could drive out of there np

if your worried about the curb/berm.... shovel some of the crushed stone over and make a ramp..and drive the car out..

Only if you plan on standing aside and "supervising".

4-5,000 RPM drop it in reverse.
Post pictures.

Damn straight. I jumped a rental Dodge Journey on my last business trip, I'm sure the Subie can fly too.:D

Giggle...reminds me of many decades ago, when "somebody" ordered a dump load of quarter minus to be delivered to the home of the high school principal.

"Just dump it in the driveway and send me the bill"...

kanadary 10-13-2010 07:04 PM

note to self... don't purchase a used rental car no matter how cheap it is. you should be able to back over that thing on the right.

RWebb 10-13-2010 07:12 PM

yeh, just gun it and shoot thru the edge of that pile
