Local L.A. car for sale that I would have bought in the "good" economy!
CAR IS FOR SALE. ASKING $4,000
History of this Lotus: The car was dispatched from the Lotus factory on December 7th 1967. On 2-4-1986, the car was sold to an Air Force Sergeant who was stationed at RAF Bentwaters. In 1985, the Sergeant took the vehicle to Spyder Limited in Cambridgeshire, England to have a Spyder Spaceframe Chassis installed along with a new rear suspension system. It remained in England until 1986 when the Air Force Sergeant had the vehicle shipped to the United States. I purchased this car for my husband on 8-9-1994. He drove this car as a daily driver for many years. He then decided he wanted to restore the car. My Husband started the restoration project however; he became ill and passed away, so the car was never completed. A well-known Classic Lotus owner from the Bay Area inspected this car on 9-18-10. After completing his inspection I was informed that, the only parts missing were the Pistons & Rods. The body is in good condition and did not appear to have been in an accident. He has graciously offered to answer any questions regarding the condition of this vehicle. If you would like to speak with him, please contact me. The car has a clean title showing my name as the registered owner. There is no Leinholder. Odometer reads 97529 This is a great opportunity for someone familiar with Lotus to purchase. I am taking a financial loss on this vehicle because it is not complete. If you would like more photos please let me know. I will email them to you. 1967 LOTUS ELAN +2 - RESTORATION PROJECT
